Getting into Nepal

Tribhuvan International Airport is the only international airport in Nepal, located at the capital city; Kathmandu. Many international airlines are serving direct flights from the Middle-east and Asia. If you are travelling to/via Europe and America, you have to adjust at middle-east or Asia for transit. Nepal Airlines is the national carrier of Nepal serving at the destinations like Delhi, Bangalore, Bangkok, Singapore, Doha, Kualalumpur, Dubai, Osaka directly. Many international airlines like Silk Air, Malaysian Airlines, Qatar Airways, Etihad airways, Emirates, Air India, Thai Airlines, Malindo Airlines etc are serving direct flights to Nepal. 

By Land

As Nepal shares border with India in the west, east and south and China in the North, you can enter Nepal via India and China. The easiest way is via Gorakhpur, Sunauli, Kakarbhitta, Raxaul and many other places from west Nepal via India whereas if you want to enter via China, cross the border at Kodari and take a bus to Kathmandu.

Many domestic flights are operated in many parts of Nepal. So, after crossing the border, you can also use domestic airlines to get to Kathmandu.
