Being one of the famous destinations for adventure lovers, Nepal had attracted many tourists all over the world for trekking. Trekking simply means travel on foot. The geography and landscape of Nepal create the beautiful trekking trail from where one can get the best Sunrise view and can observe the World Highest Mountains. Out of the ten highest Mountains of the World, 8 of them are located in Nepal along with the World Highest Mountain Mt. Everest (8848 m). Those who love to get close to nature goes on for trekking. Trek may consist of short trek to long trek which includes a trek to the base camp of Mt. Everest. The famous trekking routes are Annapurna base camp Trek, Everest Base Camp trek, Langtang Base Camp trek, etc. 

Before starting trekking, Tourists have to acquire permits from Kathmandu so that he/she will have proper documentation while trekking. Those who don’t have much time, short treks are specially designed for them so that they could get the majestic view of Mountain ranges and Sunrise over the Himalayas. There are plenty of lodges and homestays available in trekking routes nowadays mostly in Annapurna and Everest region. The trekking trail is well maintained and cleaned and properly managed for trekkers. One must book a hotel in advance during the peak trekking season. The peak trekking season is mid-March- mid-May and mid-September - mid-November.
