Pisang Peak (6109m)  is one of the most desired and easy climbing peaks among the trekking peaks in the famous Annapurna region. Magically stood up in the Pisang village offering the majestic views of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Manaslu, Gangapurna etc. The pyramid shaped Pisang Peak lies on the way to the highest pass of the World “Thorung La Pass” at an elevation of 5416m and on the northern border of Manang valley. To reach the summit of Pisang Peak requires experience in trekking and mountaineering as in some parts, the route is very difficult as we have to pass through the icy glaciers and steep icy slopes. Among the peaks opened for mountaineering by Nepal Mountaineering Association, Pisang peak is one of them with moderate trekking. Anyone with less experience can successfully summit Pisang Peak with experienced mountain guides. Observing the dry and barren landscapes and picturesque sceneries, the Pisang Peak Climbing lets you experience trekking in Nepal along the varied diversity and vegetation.

Pisang Peak Climbing starts from sightseeing in Kathmandu followed by a scenic drive to Synge/ Jagat. The road trip lets you observe the diversified landscapes, local settlements, and terraced farmlands. The trail passes several beautiful villages like Dharapani, Chame that leads us to Upper Pisang. From Upper Pisang, the steep ascend uphill observing the beautiful and varied landscape leads us to Pisang peak base camp followed by Pisang peak high camp. From Pisang peak high camp, we summit to Pisang peak and observe the magnificent and stunning views of Annapurna range, Gangapurna, Manaslu and dry landscapes of Manang valley. After a successful summit, the downhill trail leads us to Manang village. Passing several villages like Ledar, Phedi and crossing Thorong La Pass, the trail descends towards Kali Gandaki Valley and to a holy temple Muktinath. Observing the Kali Gandaki valley and apple orchards, we head towards Jomsom and a scenic flight to Pokhara. Enjoying the successful completion of our trek, a scenic drive to Kathmandu and trek ends at Kathmandu.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345m)

A very warm Welcome. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, meet and greet our representatives from Moonline Tours P. Ltd and transfer to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel. If you have free time, roam around the streets of Kathmandu in the evening for self-exploration and pleasure.

Guided sightseeing in Kathmandu at UNESCO World heritage sites: Pashupatinath; a holy temple of Hindus, Kathmandu Durbar Square; an ancient courtyard, Swayambhunath; an oldest Buddhist stupa at the top of a hill and Boudhanath; the largest Buddhist stupa at the outskirts of Kathmandu. Remaining day free for trek preparation. Roam around Thamel if in case you miss something that you will need during trekking.

A scenic drive to Synge/ Jagat from Kathmandu. Driving along the bank of Trishuli River, observing the terraced farmlands and local settlements leads us to Besisahar; the headquarter of Lamjung. From Lamjung, the narrow and off-road route with a beautiful view of snow-capped mountains leads us to Synge/ Jagat at an elevation of 1100m. Explore around Synge in the evening.

Driving Time: 8 to 9 hours

From Synge/ Jagat, the gentle and descending walk through forest leads us to Chamje. From Chamje, walking along the bank of Marsyangdi River with ascending uphill leads to Tal, the village at the bank of Marsyangdi River. Leaving the beautiful Tal village, the trail ascends uphill through terraced farmlands and enters Manang district. Following the route passing through the pine forest leads us to Koto and a gradual walk ahead leads us to Dharapani at an elevation of 1960m. Roam around Dharapani and explore the culture, tradition and lifestyle of local people.

Walking Time: 6 hours

From Dharapani, the trail passes through the forest of maple and oak with several landslide areas and walking along the riverside leads us to Bagarchaap. Following the gradual and gentle walk uphill leads us to Chame at an elevation of 2630m. Chame is the main administration hub of Manang valley. Roam around the local market and explore Chame village in the evening.

Walking Time: 5 hours

Leaving the beautiful Chame village, the trail ascends uphill that leads us to Barthang village and walking along the bank of Marsyangdi river and crossing the suspension bridge, the gradual uphill walk leads us to Dhikur Pokhari. Passing through the beautiful forest and village leads us to Upper Pisang at an elevation of 3700m. Observe the stunning views of Pisang Peak and Annapurna II.

Walking Time: 8 hours

As we have reached an altitude above 3000m, day free for relaxation and for acclimatization. Acclimatization is very important to adopt the change of climate and altitude. So today, we spent the whole day relaxing and checking the gears. Short hike around Upper Pisang and overnight at Upper Pisang.

From Upper Pisang, the trail steeply ascends uphill. Passing through the thin forest line and yak grazing pastures leads us to Pisang Base Camp. Observe the yaks and sheeps grazing around the pasture.

Walking Time: 4 hours

The trail gradually and gently ascends uphill from Pisang Base Camp. Following the trail and observing the beautiful views of snow-capped mountains along with the diversified landscape leads us to Pisang Peak High Camp at an elevation of 5400m. Explore around Pisang Peak high camp.

Walking Time: 4 hours

From Pisang Peak high camp, we will start our climb to the summit early in the morning. The trail steeply ascends uphill through a snowy path and passes several glaciers that lead us to the top of Pisang Peak (6109m). Observe the panoramic view of snow-capped mountains like Annapurna Range, Mt. Manaslu, Pisang Peak along with several peaks. After observing for some more time, return back to Pisang base camp. Following the same route and steep downhill trail leads us to Pisang base camp.

Walking Time: 9 hours

From Pisang base camp, the trail descends down to Pisang village. Furthermore, walking along the riverside leads us to Manang village. The dry and deserted landscape of Manang valley and the picturesque sceneries fills the heart with joy. Roam and explore Manang valley and the culture and lifestyle of local people.

Walking Time: 6 hours

The trail from Manang ascends uphill. Following the trail towards Thorung La Pass and leaving the Marsyangdi valley, the steep ascend uphill leads to Tenki village. Walking along the riverside of Jarsang Khola leads us to Ledar at an elevation of 4250m. Explore around Ledar in the evening.

From Ledar, the trail ascends uphill. Walking along the riverside of Jorsale Khola, with an opportunity to spot Blue sheep enroute leads us to Phedi at an elevation of 4420m. Roam around Phedi in the evening and explore the culture, tradition and lifestyle of local people.

Walking Time: 4 hours

From Phedi, the trail steeply ascends uphill towards Thorung La Pass at an elevation of 5416m. Thorung La Pass is the highest pass in the world. Observe the panoramic view of Annapurna range, Mt. Manaslu, Gangapurna, Thorung Peak, etc.  After observing the majestic views for some more time, the trail descends steeply down towards the Kali Gandaki valley. The steep downhill trail leads to Muktinath; a holy temple of both Hindus and Buddhist. Explore around Muktinath temple as it is considered as one of the holiest temples. Observe praying at Muktinath in the evening and the stunning view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges.

Walking Time: 7 to 8 hours

Enjoy the morning prayings at Muktinath and pay homage to Muktinath. From Muktinath, the trail gradually and gently descends downwards. Passing through the Marpha village, observing the picturesque view of Kali Gandaki Valley and apple orchards leads us to Jomsom. Jomsom is the capital of Mustang district. Roam around Jomsom in the evening.

Walking Time: 5 hours

From Jomsom, we will take a morning flight to Pokhara as the weather of Jomsom remains clear during morning. Observe the aerial views of Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, the deepest Kali Gandaki gorge and the scenic landscapes of Manang and Mustang valley. Upon arrival at Pokhara, check-in at the hotel. Roam around Pokhara for self-exploration and refreshment.

Flight Time: 20 min

Enjoy scenic drive to Kathmandu. Observing the terraced farmlands, local settlements, beautiful hills, and driving along the bank of the Trishuli River leads us to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, check-in at the hotel. Remaining time free for self-exploration and relaxation at Kathmandu.

As today is your last day at Kathmandu, free till departure. Our representatives from Moonline Tours P. Ltd will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport 3 hours prior to your departure schedule to board your onward journey.
