Everest Base Camp trek begins with Kathmandu Sightseeing to explore the rich culture, art, and architecture. Then, we take a flight to Lukla with the mesmerizing views of mountains, including some of the World Highest Mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Lhotse and many other. As soon as you land on Lukla, start your trek to Everest Base Camp (5365m) passing through the beautiful Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, enter at Sagarmatha National Park, Buddhist monasteries and meet up with the Sherpas; inhabitants of Khumbu region, etc. Plenty of teahouses and lodges had been operated in order to provide facilities to the number of trekkers and after we reached the Base Camp, trek back to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu. Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1338m/ 4390 ft.)

Arrival at Kathmandu and meet our representative at Tribhuvan International Airport. Transfer to Hotel. Take a short walk around Kathmandu in the evening. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

Guided sightseeing tour at four UNESCO World Heritage sites of Kathmandu; culturally and historically rich Kathmandu or Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, the holy place of Hindus Pashupatinath, the largest Buddhist stupa Boudhanath and the oldest Buddhist stupa Swayambhunath. 

In the evening, a short meeting with the guides and representatives for Everest Base Camp Trek and enjoy an evening walk on the streets of Thamel.

Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

Enjoy early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and mesmerizing views of mountains, including Mt. Everest. Upon arrival at Lukla, get ready to start your journey walking aside Dudh Koshi River and crossing several suspension bridges. Enjoy the beautiful landscape en route to Phakding. After 3 to 4 hours of leisure walk, you will reach to Phakding. Observe the Buddhist monasteries.

Start your journey through the beautiful forested area of blue pine and Rhododendron trees on the way to Namche Bazar. Enjoy the diversified landscape and alpine climate, downhill trail to Jorsale and steep uphill trail to the beautiful valley of Sherpas Namche Bazar which is also popularly known as “Gateway to Everest”. Observe the view of Mt. Everest along with Mr. Cho Oyu, Mt Lhotse, Mt Nuptse, etc and roam around the Sherpa valley and monasteries.

Walking Time: 5 to 6 hours.

It is very important to adopt new changes in climate whenever we go for trekking at higher altitudes in order to prevent altitude sickness. Start your day with the beautiful view of Namche Bazar and the local Sherpa people. Short hike to Everest View Hotel and enjoy the mesmerizing views of Mt. Everest, Mt Cho Oyu, Mt Makalu, Mt Lhotse, etc. Observe the Sherpa Museum, enter at Sagarmatha National Park and explore the local Buddhist monasteries and culture and traditions of Sherpa people. Enjoy roaming around the streets of Namche Bazar and get prepared for your onward journey.

Walking Time: 4 to 5 hours.

Proceed journey from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche, one of the oldest Buddhist Monasteries located at Khumbu region with an amazing background of Mt. Ama Dablam. After crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi river, walk uphill to reach Tengboche en route observe the wildlife and flora and fauna of Sagarmatha National Park especially Himalayan Tahr and spotted Deer and enjoy the striking views of Mt. Everest, Mt Lhotse, Mt, Ama Dablam, etc. Explore Sherpa culture and lifestyle and visit small gumbas and monasteries.

Overnight stay at Tengboche.
Walking Time: 6 hours.

Start your journey from Tengboche to Dingboche at an elevation of 4410m. Dingboche is considered as the acclimatization place for trekkers as well as Mountaineers. Passing through lush forest and Imja River on a wooden bridge, steep uphill walk leads us to Pangboche valley where we can get a close view of Mt. Ama Dablam. Pangboche valley has the highest settlement area and you can even witness Mani walls and Buddhists shrine. Continue to walk to Pheriche and then to Imja valley enjoying the natural scenery and landscape and after the steepest climb of the day, you will reach Dingboche (4410m).

Walking Time: 4 to 5 hours.

Enjoy the splendid views of the Himalayas in the morning and be prepared to hike to Nagarjun hill or you can hike to Chukkung to witness the close view of Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Lhotse, Island peaks and others. As this is acclimatization day, we return back to Dingboche. Visit Buddhist monasteries and roam around Dingboche and interact with the local people to observe their culture and lifestyle.

Walking Time: 5 to 6 hours.

Start your trek with a downward trail to Pheriche village and observe the beautiful view of Cholatse across the valley and after another steep uphill trail leads to terminal moraine of Khumbu region from where you can get the best views of Mt. Ama Dablam, Tawache and high wall of Nuptse. Here, you can see many stone memorials of those who lost their lives during an expedition at Mt. Everest. Leaving the Khumbu Glacier behind, you will reach your next stop Lobuche.

Walking Time: 6 to 7 hours.

On the tenth day of the trek, you will be at Everest Base Camp, the ultimate destination of your journey. Following the narrow path between the glacier and the mountain walls along with rocky trail leads to Gorakshep. Ahead of 3.5 km from Gorakshep, the trail follows rocky dunes and streams leading you to Everest Base Camp, from where you will witness the panoramic views of snow-capped mountains, including Mt. Everest, Mt Lhotse, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Makalu, Nuptse, etc. Enjoy the view and return back to Gorakshep.

Overnight stay at Gorakshep.
Walking Time: 7 to 8 hours.

Early morning, hike to Kala Patthar in order to enjoy the majestic view of Sunrise in Everest. Kalapatthar is considered as one of the most famous viewpoints to observe Sunrise in the Khumbu region. Enjoy the panoramic view of mountains including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Pumori, Ama Dablam, etc. On the way back to Dingboche, the trail ascends downhill as you will witness the beautiful sceneries and picturesque views of Himalayas.

Walking Time: 4 to 5 hours.

Steep ascend to downhill through Pheriche and Imja valley witnessing the beautiful scenery and landscape leads you to Pangboche, from where you can observe the beautiful view of Ama Dablam. Steep downhill through lush forest and Imja Khola leads you to Tengboche.

Overnight stay at Tengboche.
Walking Time: 4 to 5 hours.

Start day walking downhill through the lush forested area of blue pine and Rhododendron forest and walking alongside Dudh Koshi River leads you to Namche Bazar. On the way to Namche bazaar, you can even witness Himalayan Tahr, spot Deers, etc with an amazing view of snow-capped mountains and Buddhist monasteries and gumbas. Rest day roam around Namche Bazar if you have time.

Walking Time: 4 to 5 hours.

Passing Dudh Koshi Khola, you will reach Monjo where you will need to complete some documentation at the entry post of National park and walking across several river tributaries till we reach Phakding. Continue to walk downhill passing the lush forest and incredible mountain views that lead to Lukla, the beautiful Sherpa village.

Walking Time: 5 to 6 hours.

Fly back to Kathmandu, the capital city with an amazing view of mountains with the unforgettable experience of Everest Base Camp trekking. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, check-in at your respective hotel and rest day free for self-relaxation and shopping. In the evening, you can either roam around the streets of Thamel.

Since this is your last day in Nepal, you are free till departure. Check out at the hotel and our representatives will drop you to Tribhuvan International Airport 3 hours prior to departure to board your onward journey.
