Starting from Kathmandu to Lukla by air and the short hike to Phakding, Everest Base Camp Heli trek offers equal opportunity to enjoy the landscape, interaction with the local inheritance crossing the forested area full of blue pine on the way to Namche Bazar: the gateway to Everest where we spend one day and spend the next day at Everest View Hotel. The trail ascends towards the Pangboche following Dingboche where we spend two days for acclimatization. Continue trek to Gorak Shep which is the stop to Everest and a short hike from Gorakh Shep leads us to Everest Base Camp (5364m). The next day, morning hike to Kalapattar to explore the mesmerizing view of Sunrise over the Himalayas and panoramic views of Mountains above 8000m. After returning back to Gorakh Shep and after having a hot breakfast, fly to Kathmandu via chartered helicopter.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1338m/ 4390 ft.)

Welcome to Nepal!!!! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representatives and brief description on the way to the hotel. Check-in Hotel. Remaining day free for self-relaxation and prepare yourself for the trek.

Accomodation: Yak and Yeti Hotel.

Meals: Welcome Dinner Included

 

Enjoy 45 minutes mountain flight to Lukla witnessing the beautiful mountain views including the World Highest Mountain Mt. Everest. Upon arrival at Lukla, start walking to Phakding through beautiful lush green forests and Rhododendron trees. Follow trail passing Dudh Koshi River and several river tributaries and steep uphill lead you to Phakding.

The flight is also considered as one of the most dramatic  short flights in the world. Surrounded by tall mountains and green hills, the airstrip at lukla is quite amazing and flight itself is beginning of an thrilling adventure,

Accommodation: Yeti Mountain Home or similar class guesthouse.

Meals: Breakfast at hotel in Kathmandu, lunch and dinner at YMH Phakding.

Walking Time: 3 to 4 hours

Start your day walking along the bank of Dudh Koshi River till you reach Monjo, a small and quiet Sherpa village. Monjo is the gateway to Sagarmatha National Park. As you walk along Dudh Koshi River crossing Hillary Suspension bridge and uphill walk leads to Namche Bazar, the trading hub of Khumbu Region where you can witness the number of tourist movements. Roam around Namche bazaar in the evening.

Accomodation: Yeti Mountain Home /Namche

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Walking Time: 5 to 6 hours.

Acclimatization is very important if you are trekking to a higher altitude and Namche Bazaar is the best place as the trekking trail ascends uphill from Namche Bazaar. After enjoying your breakfast you will be spending your day exploring the towns and hiking to the khumjung village. En route you will also pay a visit to Sagarmatha National park museum. Then continuing our hike we will move towards Syangboche Airport where we can get the best of the views of Kumbila, Tabuche, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kantega, Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse. Descending down further the trail leads to the beautiful khumjung village,exploring the local culture of sherpas we stop over at our last destination for the day which is Hotel Everest view, one of the highest placed hotels on the planet. Its unparallel location offers its visitors with amazing wide range view of the Everest region Himalayas. Its perfect location helps viewers to enjoy Himalayas as never before.

You will stay overnight at Hotel Everest view. Enjoying your stay at the hotel with peaceful environment and relaxing in the comfort of luxurious, warm cozy bedroom.

Walking Time: 4 to 5 hours.

Enjoying your quality moments with the panoramic views of the Great Himalayas. You will enjoy your breakfast and hike towards pangboche . Hiking through the ups and downs trails, you will reach the small settlement of Tengboche. Rhododendron trees to uphill and witness the beautiful views of mountains. The trail descends deep to Dudh Koshi valley and following uphill zigzag trail ultimately leads to Tengboche (3860m/ 12660 ft), where the largest and important Buddhist monastery of Khumbu region is located with Ama Dablam in its background.

Enjoy your dinner and relax in your cozy bedroom at the hotel.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and Dinner.

Walking Time: 5 to 6 hours.

Leaving pangboche we will descend downhill through a forested area of pine to Imja Khola and crossing the wooden bridge, Enjoy the breathtaking views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, etc. Continue walking through a pasture that leads you to Dingboche (4410m/ 14464 ft), also known as “Summer Valley”.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Walking Time: 5 to 6 hours.

As I had already mentioned that acclimatization is very important for trekking at high altitude. Hike to Nagarjun Hill at an elevation of 5100m/ 16728 ft. and close views of Mt. Lhotse, Makalu, Island peak, Ama Dablam, etc. Return back to Dingboche and observe the Sherpa culture and lifestyle.

Walking Time: 4 to 5 hours.

Start your trek passing through yak pastures. This trail is rough and challenging and you may need more energy as altitude goes on increasing resulting in a loss in appetite, headache, nausea, etc. You can witness a panoramic view of mountains including Ama Dablam and after crossing the Khumbu Glacier, following the rugged route leads you to Lobuche (4910m/ 16104 ft.).

Accomodation: Oxygen Hotel

Walking Time: 4 to 5 hours.

You will reach your ultimate point of journey as you will be at the base camp of the highest mountain in the World. Passing through Lobuche pass and walking in unstable rocky trail leads you to Gorak shep (5181m/ 16994 ft.) and hiking towards the northern direction in the rugged and rocky path takes you at the base of World Highest Mountain Everest Base Camp (5364m/ 17598 ft.). The amazing panoramic and breathtaking views of Mountains including the World’s Highest Mountain Mt. Everest along with Makalu, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and several other peaks make your journey worth it. After spending some more time at Everest Base Camp, return back to Gorak Shep.

Walking Time: 8 to 9 hours.

Wake up early and hike to Kala Pattar (5643m) so that you won’t miss the stunning and majestic view of Sunrise over the Himalayas. Enjoy Sunrise view from the viewpoint of Kala Pattar and also enjoy the close view of Mt. Everest and other mountains above 8000m and others as well. Observe the views till your Helicopter arrives and fly back to Kathmandu. Don't miss the aerial views of the Himalayan range, glaciers from the helicopter. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your respective hotel.

Free till departure. Our representatives will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport 3 hours prior to departure in order to board your onward journey. Have a safe journey ahead!!!!
