Annapurna Base Camp trek is considered as second famous trekking destination for adventure lovers. Scenic Mountain views along with diversified culture and landscape leading to the base of the 10th highest mountain of the World Mt. Annapurna (8091m) is the main highlight of Annapurna Base Camp trek. The trail is well maintained and properly managed as well as there are plenty of teahouses/ lodges available. Passing through many suspension bridges, dense forest of Rhododendron, and many ups and down hills leads you to Annapurna Base Camp at an elevation of 4130m and offers spectacular views of Mountain ranges including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, Himchuli, etc.

Our Annapurna Base Camp trek - 15 days start from Nayapul; 1.5 hours of drive from Pokhara. Crossing Modi Khola and the beautiful Ghandruk Village of Gurungs, and following the route through the dense forest of Rhododendron and accompanied by the World’s deepest George Kali Gandaki. The trail will lead you to many small Gurung and Magar villages and let you know their culture and way of living. Following the trail, you will pass many streams and beautiful waterfalls, at the base of Machhapuchhre base camp and offers picturesque views of snow-capped mountains. The trek will end at Pokhara, the beautiful city of lakes. On your entire journey, you will be amazed by the natural beauty and experience the diversified landscape and alpine climate. For this trekking, you need to be physically fit and fine. Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1338m/ 4390 ft.)

Welcome to Nepal!!!! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu at an elevation of 1338m, meet and greet our representatives from Moonline Tours P. Ltd. Transfer to hotel and check-in hotel. Short description of Annapurna Base Camp Trek en route to the hotel. If you have time, roam around the streets of Kathmandu in the evening or overnight at Kathmandu.

Guided sightseeing tour at UNESCO World heritage sites: Pashupatinath; a holy temple of Lord Shiva, Boudhanath; the largest Buddhist stupa, Swayambhunath; an oldest Buddhist stupa at the top of the hill and Kathmandu Durbar Square; rich in art and architecture, and culture. In evening, short meeting with tour guides and needed gears to start your trek at Annapurna base Camp. Roam around the streets of Kathmandu in the evening and overnight at Kathmandu.

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (6 to 7 hours of drive) and observe the lush green forests, fast-flowing Trishuli River, dispersed local settlement and terraced farmlands. Upon arrival at Pokhara, check-in hotel. Pokhara, a scenic lake city of Nepal consisting of 3 lakes: Phewa lake Begnas Lake and Rupa Lake and observe the beautiful eye-catching view of the snow-capped Annapurna range along with Mt. Machhapuchhre. Roam around lakeside in the evening.

Driving Time: 6 to 7 hours.

Leaving the beautiful city behind, drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga at an elevation of 1540m. The trail to Tikhedhunga is easy and stone-paved stairs. Crossing the suspension bridge of Modi Khola and following the bank of the Modi Khola, you will reach Birethanti. The trail then ascends to Hile and then to Tikhedhunga passing the bamboo forest, terraced farmlands, villages, and several waterfalls. Overnight at Tikhedhunga.

Walking Time: 4 to 5 hours.
Driving Time: 2 hours.

From Tikhedhunga, continue trek by climbing the stone stairs all the way to Ulleri and observe the beautiful view of Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, etc. From Ulleri, following the trail and passing through lush green forests, meadows, and streams leads you to Ghorepani, a village surrounded by Mountain ranges. Explore around Ghorepani in the evening.

Walking Time: 5 to 6 hours

Hike to Poonhill early in the morning in order to witness the eye-catching and stunning views of Sunrise over the Himalayas. The uphill stone stairs from Ghorepani leads you to Poonhill at an elevation of 3210m. Enjoy the first sunray touching the Himalayas making it more beautiful and amazing. After spending some more time exploring the Himalayas, descend downhill to Ghorepani. The trail then leads to Tadapani passing many uphills and downhills through the dense forest of Oaks and Rhododendron. Passing through waterfalls, streams and exploring nature, leads to Tadapani at an elevation of 2630m.

Walking time: 5 to 6 hours.

Trek from Tadapani passing through waterfalls, streams, suspension bridges and villages of Chuile, Ghurjung, and Taulung. Observe the beautiful view of Mountain range and diversified landscape till we reach Chhomrong, a beautiful village of Annapurna area with stunning views of snow-capped mountains.

Overnight at Chhomrong.
Walking Time: 5 to 6 hours.

From Chhomrong, the trail descends downhill to Chhomrong River and crossing suspension bridge climb again till we reach Sinuwa passing through the forest of Oaks, Hemlock and Rhododendron. The trail leads to Bamboo and gradual walk to Dovan at an elevation of 2600m.

Overnight at Dovan.
Walking Time: 5 to 6 hours.

Trek from Dovan starts with a climb through the Bamboo forest all the way to Hinku Cave and then to Deurali, passing through dense forest and exploring the natural beauties. Furthermore of the uphill walk leads you to Machhapuchhre Base Camp at an elevation of 3700m and observe the close-up view of Mt. Machhapuchhre or Fishtail.

Walking Time: 3 to 4 hours.

Trek from Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp, the ultimate destination of Annapurna Base Camp Trek at an elevation of 4130m. The trail is gradual uphill to Annapurna Base Camp. Observe the mesmerizing views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Himchuli, and other peaks. Rest day free to explore around Annapurna Base Camp.

Overnight at Annapurna Base Camp.
Walking Time: 2 to 3 hours.

Enjoy the stunning view of Sunrise over the Himalayas from Annapurna Base Camp. After spending some more time at Annapurna Base Camp, the trail descends downhill all the way to Bamboo via the same route. Passing through the dense forest, landscape, waterfalls, streams, a village of Deurali and Hinku cave, the trail leads you to Bamboo.

Walking Time: 6 to 7 hours.

From Bamboo, the trail descends till you cross the suspension bridge of Chhomrong Khola and then climb uphill all the way to Chhomrong village. The trail then descends steeply to Jhinu Danda. The major attraction of Jhinu Danda is a hot spring where we take a dip and relax for some time.

Overnight at Jhinu Danda.
Walking Time: 5 to 6 hours.

From Jhinu Danda, descend downhill until we see the river stream. The trail ascends and descends till we reach Syauli Bazaar passing through the forest and observing the landscape.  Trek down to Birethanti and then to Nayapul where the trek ends and drive back to Pokhara. Rest day free at Pokhara and roam around lakeside in the evening.

Walking Time: 5 to 6 hours.
Driving Time: 2 hours.

Drive back to Kathmandu observing the dense forest, dispersed local settlement, fast-flowing Trishuli River, etc. If you are lucky enough, get a chance to witness people enjoying rafting at Trishuli River. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, check-in the hotel and roam around Kathmandu in the evening.

Driving Time: 6 to 7 hours.

Free till departure. Our representative from Moonline Tours P. Ltd will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport 3 hours prior to your scheduled departure time to board your onward journey.
