The national park is half an hour ride from Kathmandu, which offers you an awesome nature experience. The national park is known for its biodiversity as it has lots of various flora and fauna’s. Especially the national park is a paradise for birdwatchers as the area has over 300 species of birds, and also more than 500 species of animals.

Itinerary Overview
This is a perfect full day hike near the valley. In the morning you will be picked up at your hotel by your driver. After few minutes of drive we will reach the gate of Nagarjun Fulbari Gate, we will hike through the lush green forest and reach at the top of Jamacho Monastery which is the highest point of the park where we will be enjoying panoramic views of the valley with Himalayan background like Langtang Himalayan range, Annapurna Himalayan range, Manaslu Himalayan range and more. Walking duration to reach to the top would be approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. We will spending some time exploring the forest area and relaxing for a while and then make our way back to hotel.
Jamacho Monastery is one of the popular places in Kathmandu valley, which gives you a wide panoramic view of the whole valley, and the Himalayan ranges. It is at the height of 2128m at Nagarjun Shivapuri national park.
