Welcome to Nepal, the land of Gautam Buddha. Located in between India in East, West and South and China in the North, Nepal is geographically as well as culturally very rich. Out of the ten highest peaks of the world, eight are located in Nepal along with the highest Mountain named Mt. Everest (Sagarmatha) is located at an elevation of 8848m. Nepal is a diversified country with diverse cultures and traditions. UNESCO had listed 10 heritage sites as UNESCO World Heritage Sites including; Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Changunarayan, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Chitwan National Park, Sagarmatha National Park, and Lumbini. Among these heritage sites, seven of them are in Kathmandu valley within a distance of 13 miles. Chitwan National Park is famous for One-horned Rhinoceros and Bengal tiger whereas Sagarmatha National Park consists of The world's highest mountain Mt. Everest. Lumbini is the birthplace of Gautam Buddha who spread Buddhism across the World. 

Nepal is heaven on Earth as you can experience and observe the real natural beauty. From the majestic view of Mountain ranges to the green Hills and to the plain fields, Nepal has covered all of them. One can feel the climatic variation as the temperature goes on decreasing as the altitude increases and vice versa which is dynamic in nature. Here, you can find the fast-flowing rivers originate from the Himalayas with great potential which is also used to produce electricity. Nepal is a famous destination for all kinds of tourists whether it may be cultural and religious tours to an Adventure tour, a short hike to month-long trekking. The tourism industry is the main source of revenue of Nepal as every year people from various countries visit Nepal for various purposes. Some may visit for religious purposes, some for taking part in adventure activities, some for business purposes, etc. 

Nepal is inhabited by various groups of people including Brahmins, Chhetri, Rai, Sherpa, Tamang, Magar, Tharus, etc whereas Kathmandu Valley is inhabited mostly by Newars. Most people follow Hinduism and Buddhism whereas people also follow Christianity, Muslim, Sikh religion. Nepali is the national and official language. People also use Tamang, Maithili, Newari, Rai, Sherpa, Sunar language. Different festivals are celebrated by different ethnic people.
