Why Langtang area is a paradise for trekkers??

Langtang – Langtang is one of the most beautiful destinations here in Nepal which provides magnificent panoramic views of the mountains. It stands out from rest of the trails due to its off beaten trail, and it’s uniquely beautiful landscapes. With an area of 1710 sq km and in ranges in altitude from 1,250m to 7,245m, Langtang gives you most authentic experience of what Nepal truly is like. Views of the great mountains:

You will be able to see snow capped peaks from the first day of the trek, and glaciers up close too. The Himalayas are the main reasons why most people come to Nepal and  the Himalayas in Langtang  dominates the skyline. Langtang is bordered on the north by mountains, which is dominated by Langtang Lirung (7,245m), the highest peak in the area, and to the south are Chimse  danda, Ganja la pass (5,122m), and Jugal Himal culminating the beautiful Dorje Lakpa (6,989m) .

Amazing Flora and Fauna:

If you are someone who loves nature heartedly then langtang is a beautiful treat for you. Langtang is a national park area which exhibits a high diversity of 14 vegetation types in 18 ecosystem types, which ranges from upper tropical forests below 1000m altitude to alpine scrub and perennial ice. The flora consists of 1043 species of vascular plants where some of the tree species in the park includes Rhododendron, Laurel, Blue pine, sal and more. It is also home to many animals as; 46 mammals some of which are Red panda, Snow leopard, Clouded Leopard, Musk deer, Himalayan Tahr.

Off the beaten trails:

The forests are full of oaks, bamboo and other beautiful green scenery and the whole surrounding is quiet and peaceful to walk through. Langtang is one of the hidden gem of the country, as it provides it’s visitors with magnificent views and trails are full of rich vegetation, if you love rhododendron then you will surely enjoy this trek. Langtang area also has a drop in tourism since the earthquake. But the locals and concerned authorities have well built hotels and lodges, which has enabled langtang to pick up again. Langtang does not get traffic jams like that on everest base camp trek or Annapurna base camp trek but maintains a balanced number of visitors’ making the trail very peaceful for trekking. So if you love off the beaten-trails, into the nature with quiet and peaceful space for yourself, Langtang will just be the trek you are waiting for.

Various trekking routes:

In Langtang National park area there are three-main trekking routes which are Langtang valley trek, Helambu trek and Gosainkunda Trek. These routes have different landscapes and also cover different cultural attractions. People in these trekking areas are also very welcoming and are grateful if you step into their guest houses and will treat you with warm love which Nepal is famous for.
