Kathmandu once was an inaccessible Shangri-La, but today it is hub for travelers and also a very renowned vacation destination which matches budget of the travelers.

Most of the travelers know Kathmandu as a gateway into the mountains but there is whole lot of more the place has to offer,if you just take a bit of time on what it has to offer. It  is political, commercial and cultural hub of Nepal. How to get around Kathmandu

There are a lot of beautiful places you can visit in Kathmandu which is bit far to be reached by foot, so it would be convenient,flexible and easy for you if you hire a private vehicle to reach to the required destination. Make sure you wear a mask and good pair of shoes to explore the city as air quality is not that good and you will find easy to walk on streets with good pair of shoes too.

You can also get around Kathmandu via public transportation which will get you to your required destination, but you would need to walk  a  bit by yourself and ask few peoples to get to the exact locations as the public transportation stopping point is bit far from the main attractions of Kathmandu.

There is a lot of stuffs to do and places to visit in Kathmandu, which can feel overwhelmed if you are trying to explore everything in 3 days. Swoyambunath

Swoyambunath is one of the significant places in Kathmandu valley. It is believed that the temple was born by itself from a lotus, when the whole valley was a lake. It is most ancient and enigmatic of all of the holy shrines in the valley. It’s beautiful white dome and glittering golden spire are visible from many miles and sides of the valley. Historical evidences and records found on the stone inscription give evidence that the stupa was already an very important Buddhist pilgrimage destination by the 5 th century AD.

Pashupatinath

Pashupatinath is one of the oldest temples in Kathmandu, Pashupatinath temple served as the seat of Lord Pashupatinath which has a very huge significant value for people following Hindu religion. People all around the globe visit this magnificent world heritage site.You will feel the energy of the temple, once you reach nearby its surrounding.

Boudhanath Stupa

It is considered as one of the oldest and biggest Buddhist monuments here in Nepal. The beautiful stupa has at least 29 Tibetan Gompas( Monasteries and Nunneries) in its surrounding. The great stupa is visited by millions of devotees.

Kathmandu Durbar square

Situated in the heart of the city, Kathmandu Durbar square or Hanuman dhoka square complex which consists of a tremendous variety of temples which are dedicated to various gods and goddesses included in a Royal Square. The complex is known for numerous interesting temples such as Kumari ghar, Kasthamandap, Shiva parbati temple, Hanuman dhoka, Nasal chowk, Mul chowk, Basantapur Durbar and lot more. Travelers can experience lot more than just temples as the whole area is filled with past histories cultures and more which are kept alive through traditions, festivals and rituals. Especially on festivals people from all over the city gather together to continue their centuries old traditions. You can view the exceptionally carved architecture in this area.
