The Highest Altitude Fashion Show |Nepal Fashion Show Blog|

There is just a lot of amazing activities one can do up in the Himalayas, and limit is only the mind. Nepal has always been a second home to the adventure and adrenaline lovers, and now the people here have started to create unique and amazing campaigns to promote Nepal. In which ever part of the country people travel, they can view the amazing diverse landscapes and Himalayan vistas. The landscape is suitable for every kind of creative activities ranging from Trail running, mountain races, marathons, other sports. But recently Nepal has hosted a unique event which has set an example that the amazing landscape is not only confined to perform adventure and sports activities but any activities where the only limit is the mind.

The campaign was The Mount Everest Fashion Runway which was held on 26 January 2020. Fashion show was held was a special campaign as it created history by holding new Guinness World Record for the Highest Altitude Fashion Show on Land ever at an elevation of 5340m at Kalapathar. Participants, models from many countries had took part which includes Nepal, Finland, Italy, Sri Lanka, and Singapore. The event is also one of the events highlighting the visit Nepal 2020 campaign.

The fashion show in the highest altitude was conducted with an objective to raise awareness about the climate change and to promote tourism of Nepal as an destination for all activities. The fashion show used designs, patterns, and materials which were all natural, organic and all Nepali product line which included Nepali Pashmina, Felt, and Yak Wool from KASA. Display of jewelries presenting a significant Nepali culture theme was also one of the highlights of the show.

The entire journey of the models up to the Everest base camp will also be telecasted in MTV USA and Canada during April/May.
