Annapurna Circuit Short Trek is a 12 days trekking trip making circle of huge Annapurna massif. Passing through beautiful and lush forests of Oaks, Pines the trail will lead you to Thorong La pass at an elevation of 5416m, the ultimate destination of our journey. Offering great and panoramic views of mountain ranges including Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, Himchuli, Machhapuchhre, etc, and leads to Muktinath; one of the most famous holy place of both Buddhist and Hindus. The trail offers you to explore the diversified landscape, the dry and deserted land of Manang and Mustang, local culture and traditions, etc.

Annapurna Circuit Short Trek start from Dharapani, Manang and passing through the lush forested area of Rhododendron, Oaks, and Pine the trail leads to Thorong La Pass via Chame, Pisang, Manang, Yak Kharka, Thorong Phedi, Muktinath. The journey ends at Jomsom from where we drive back to Pokhara. Trekking from Dharapani to Muktinath makes a circuit of the Annapurna range. In the entire journey, you will observe beautiful and picturesque views of Mountains as well as experience the dry land of Manang and Mustang and also the culture and lifestyle of local inheritances. Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1338m/ 4390 ft.)

Welcome to Nepal!!! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, meet and greet our representatives and transfer to the Hotel. Short description of Annapurna Circuit Short Trek on the way to the hotel. Check-in hotel.

Overnight at Kathmandu.

Drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani (1960m) and observe the green forest, terraced farmlands, dispersed settlement of local people and natural sceneries. Getting a glimpse of local people and passing through several rural villages and observing the natural sceneries, you will reach to Dharapani.

Driving Time: 11-12 hours.

Trek starts from Dharapani. Walking along the dense forests before reaching Bagarchap observing the beautiful view of Mt. Annapurna II (7937m) and passing through the farmlands, orchards and beautiful Pine forests with an amazing view of Lamjung ranges along with Mt. Annapurna II, the trail then follows the up streams of Marsyangdi River as you pass Ranamanang and Koto villages. An easy walk from Koto leads you to Chame at an elevation of 2630m.

Walking Time: 5 hours.

Trek from Chame to Pisang at an elevation of 3300m. Following the trail in the northern bank of the river passing through Pinewoods and small villages with gentle uphill and downhill leads to Brathang village. Crossing several suspension bridges and uphill climb through pine forest leads you to Upper Mustang and you will notice the change in climate and vegetation as the altitude rises. Walking in the rain-shadow of Annapurna II brings us to Lower Pisang and more uphill walk leads you to the beautiful Pisang village.

Walking Time: 5 hours.

From Pisang, start your trek observing the majestic views of snow-capped mountains including Annapurna II, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, and Pisang peak. Gradual walk uphill and downhill leads crossing several small villages’ leads you to Bragha, the village dominated by the oldest monastery of the Annapurna Region. Following the trail onwards leads you to Manang at an altitude of 3570m.

Walking Time: 4 hours.

You will notice the change in climate and landscape as the air becomes thinner and cooler. Acclimatization refers to the process of becoming accustomed to a new climate. During trekking, acclimatization is very important in order to prevent Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Since this is your acclimatization day, short hike to Gangapurna Lake and observe the Mountain vistas and explore the gumbas and monasteries of Manang village.

Walking Time: 3 to 4 hours.

From Manang, the trail ascends uphill crossing several streams and following the trail onwards leads you to the village of Tenki, a village of ethnic Limbu people just above Manang and further onwards leads you to Marsyangdi valley. The trail offers the most beautiful and mesmerizing views of snow-capped mountain ranges along with landscape and peaceful natural beauties. The trail gradually ascends uphill till we reach the meadows filled with grazing yaks and ponies. Passing through ancient mani walls and a wooden bridge leads you to Yak Kharka (4110m).

Walking Time: 3 to 4 hours.

The trail from Yak Kharka leads to a small climb to reach the last settlement of Ledar. Offering great views of Annapurna II, Gangapurna, Tiliche, and many other peaks ascend uphill along with the barren lands before reaching Thorong Phedi at an altitude of 4600m. As we have to cover a very long journey, we rest and stay.

Walking Time: 3 to 4 hours.

From Thorong Phedi, the trail ascends steep uphill all the way till you reach the top marked by chortens and colorful flags. Observe the panoramic views of Annapurna, Damodar and Dhaulagiri range along with several peaks. After spending some more time at the top, the trail descends steep downhill to Muktinath (3800m); a holy temple of Lord Vishnu along with 108 waterspouts. Explore the culture and traditions of local people.

Walking Time: 7 to 8 hours.

Crossing several rural settlements, waterfalls and exploring the change in climate and landscape, you will drive to Pokhara; the lake city of Nepal. Upon arrival at Pokhara, check-in hotel and if you have time, you can go for Pokhara Sightseeing or just enjoy boating at Phewa Lake. Roam around lakeside in the evening and Overnight at Pokhara.

Drive to Kathmandu observing the beautiful sceneries, scattered settlements, and terraced farmlands. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, check-in to your respective hotel. Roam around the streets of Kathmandu in the evening.

Free till departure. Our representatives will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport 3 hours prior to your departure time in order to board your onward journey.
